Our club runs small, informal puppy classes on Monday evenings at 7pm, to start puppies along the road to becoming happy, well trained members of our pack.
All our training is reward based, so please bring along lots of treats and a toy. Try not to feed your puppy before attending class as it make things difficult, they will not want treats if they are full of dinner!
Training starts with the basics which include: sit, down, stand and walking nicely on the lead, (which leads to heel work!), also included are lots of exercises which will help your puppy with socialisation (with other puppies and friendly adult dogs), and other fun stuff to help you bond with your new puppy.
We encourage you to bring along any family members who may have a hand in training at home, including small 2 legged people, (as long as they are controllable!) so everyone at home knows the commands and exercises to help.
As we are members of the Kennel Club, we like you to take the Puppy Foundation Certificate, (but this is not compulsory and doesn't cost anything), which then leads on to the KC Good Citizen Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards, which we also train towards within club, if this is something that interests you.
Any questions, please feel free to email: email@example.com or pop along to training on a Monday night and see for yourselves what fun we have with our dogs, in a friendly, safe environment.
Looking forward to welcoming you to our club
